For, Vargas is a felon - many times over. Having been brought to this country, and having been "documented" with a fraudulent green card by his grandfather, Vargas chose to compound that error in judgement by continuing the charade with multiple faked and fraudulent papers, himself.
Vargas won the Pulitzer, it is true. He is a terrific writer.
He is also a criminal. He has committed multiple felonies, by his own admission, and should be prosecuted, and deported back to the Philippines.
But, the bleeding hearts say, Vargas is an asset to this country. No, he's not. He has contributed to the weakening of our legal system, committed identify fraud, entangled others in his crimes, and arguably committed identity theft, which is NOT a victimless crime.
