This is a suggestion from someone who really does not understand the problem. The machine is quite expensive, and that is a problem. The bigger problem, however, is the on-going problem of the expendable supplies required to operate the machine. Most of the supplies are one-shot (single usage) items like blood lines, diffusion coils, etc., and the cost of these things is huge and goes on and on. Just having the machine only gets you started, but does not keep you going.
The solution is to ship them home and get their own governments to become responsible for them. They are not our responsibility. We have to get over that idea. We are not responsible for the world.
