Short answer: No
Longer answer: Hell, No
In 2008, Ben Rhodes (brother of CBS News President), was denied either a clearance or interim clearance from the FBI (probably in the days when they actually took their mission seriously). That didn't stop him from accessing high-level secret papers.
Today's White House has problems, in great part due to the need to staff their offices, but - those individuals have to work under temporary clearances, due to the YUGE backlog of applications. The article cites structural problems with the process, but - could SOME of this be deliberate malice on the part of the Deep State, designed to cause problems for the Trump administration?
That chucklehead, McMasters, has allowed Susan Rice UNFETTERED access and continuation of her clearance status.
Why?
Trump's team, whether due to inexperience, delay in hiring, or sloth, failed to turn in their paperwork quickly enough to get their clearance properly vetted in time.
Clearance issues are not new to the Trump administration. Obama had his share, as well. Some of those "Oopsies" were NOT accidental, but, apparently, due to the idea that "Rules Don't Apply to Royalty".
Although Obama DID overhaul the clearance process, it's clear that he was trying to keep others from blabbing about him and his administration. Else, why would he exempt NSA from the changes?
And, some of the changes that Obama approved made Trump's issues able to happen.
Obama was NOT investigated or criticized by most of the media for his lax security.
Once again, double standards.
