Unless it's someone with a very loose connection to the US military, who was previously held by terrorists, and you give ALL the juicy contact details, including his family's.
Then, it's a RIGHTEOUS act. Although, since the information is classified, a felony.

Voting Rights for the Military
I'm linking to a post about a common problem in the US military - the difficulty of voting when deployed. Given the lengthy overseas assignments many reservists have, it becomes even more important to ensure that every military man/woman who wants to, can vote.
If you can, send the link to every person, and ask them to contact their Senators and Congresspersons, and move legislation forward - before the next election. If you don't know who your representatives are, the links are at the bottom of the blogroll.
Remember, the sooner, the better.

Berkeley Gets A "Right Back Atcha"
I read about this on several blogs; meant to post about it, and forgot to. Go to The Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler, and see how the CA city's attempt to impose their elitist will and shut down military recruiting (since, of course, none of THEIR lovely, PC children would think of joining up without the EVIL, bloodthirsty villains of the armed services enticing them with empty promises) gets the return volley it deserves.
God Bless Demint (R SC) - it makes me proud to be a South Carolinian. Almost makes up for Lindsay Graham (spit!)

Freedom of Speech?
This is apparently the only time the issue of freedom of speech concerns MSM. They can ignore the blatant violation of it with Danny Pearl, Salman Rushdie, and all the others who have been told "shut up" by fanatics eager to make their bones by executing those who transgress their fragile sensibilities.
These soldiers flouted basic rules, set down in military regulations. Their only value to the anti-war crowd was that they wear their uniform. They had the right to demonstrate, off-duty, and not wearing their uniform.
They chose to disregard that rule, and were warned. Not disciplined, just warned.
Oh, the inhumanity!

3 Years Old Forever

I was updating my blog. As the page was loading, I caught a glimpse of the memorial above.
We all try to keep children out of harm's way. We may spank them for dashing into the street, but that's our way of trying to ensure that they couple the spanking with the danger of streets.
We immunize them against common childhood illnesses. We make them stay inside when it's too cold, and feed them vitamins to keep them healthy.
We even bring up difficult subjects - such as not talking to strangers, and "good" touches" vs. "bad" touches.
Sometimes, its hard to anticipate all the dangers that an unwary child may encounter. But, generally, in the arms of parents, they can rest easy.
Not Dana Falkenberg. Her parents couldn't have anticipated that a short plane ride would be the last of her young life.
Their side: kill an innocent, and think it of no consequence.

Our side: serve and protect. To the end.

Some Christmas Links
I was visiting Yippee-Ki-Yay! and found that he has posted some musical links from YouTube. I decided to check it out, and also found the following:
- A Harry Potter Christmas
- Synchronized Christmas Lights - it has to be seen to be believed.
- A truly twisted Charlie Brown Christmas. It's A Charlie Brown Jihad.
- A LEGO Christmas tree being built
- The 12 Pains of Christmas as done by LEGO people
- A juggler plays "I Wish You a Merry Christmas" on a musical keyboard - truly impressive, especially at the end.
- A Coca-Cola Christmas
- A musical Christmas card - not flashy, but very cute
- Traditionally, I saved the best for last - I'll be home for Christmas. It's set to pictures of military, far from their homes. Please take the time to view it, and don't forget to also check out the soldiers' support groups, Soldiers' Angels, which provides ways to support military if you aren't fortunate enough to be acquainted with one personally. An offshoot of that group is Project ValourIT, which provides voice-activated laptops for wounded soldiers who can't communicate using their hands.
