We finally have progress on a fence!

This post is from Demediacraticnation. The news about the fence is not unalloyed bliss, however:

According to Fox News the new exchange program:

"will quintuple the number of Saudi students and scholars here by the academic year's end."

I'm more than a little concerned about that. 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 came from the Saudi kingdom. I'm not happy about taking in the resident crazies the king doesn't want around, however much it may stabilize the country.

This may be one of those "one one hand, on the other hand" kind of things. Few bills make it through Congress without acquiring a lot of baggage. It may be like that old joke about the gift whiskey

It was just right - any worse, it would have killed him. Any better, he wouldn't have gotten the gift.
