I have a new Hero!

The picture on the left is of Lena Haddix, a GREAT-GRANDMOTHER who is just returning from her 2nd deployment to the Mideast,

working for Department of Defense's Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) which operates shops selling goods to US military personnel on army bases.

I read of her remarkable story in The Smallest Minority. On her first trip, she worked in Kuwait. She is the oldest employee to have served in Iraq. The troops called her Mom. This military wife is a real trooper!
