The GA Governor has pro-illegal immigration supporters up in arms:
During a news conference last week, Gov. Perdue said, ``It is simply unacceptable for people to sneak into this country illegally on Thursday, obtain a government-issued ID on Friday, head for the welfare office on Monday and cast a vote on Tuesday,'' according to a transcript provided by Perdue's press office.Well, I can't see any problem with that - it IS unacceptable.
The problem isn't just that SOME illegals get welfare benefits that were intended for citizens and LEGAL residents, it's that too many of them are trying to elbow their way to the front of the citizenship line, and grab rights to which they are not entitled - like voting.
Did you know that, even as a legal resident in Mexico, I couldn't own a home, work a job, or collect government benefits? So why should we extend those same privileges to illegals?
