- Faced with resistance - they just question your facts, saying "WHERE did you hear that?" (the implication is that you had stumbled upon a quasi-Nazi/Alt-Right conspiracy site, and bought the nonsense, hook-line-and-sinker. When you take the time to find the source of your information, they don't even bother to look at it.
- Unable to persuade them, as they lack much of the essential background - or, rather, they have such a skewed understanding of history that they just can't make that leap from where they are to where you are.
- Hostile to any criticism of their "heroes" - Obama, the Clintons, Fauxcahontas, Bernie, Biden, Gore - NOTHING that is not completely complementary will be listened. My God, ELVIS fans aren't that fanatic!
- Repeating Occupy Democrats memes, saying the most UN-scientific things whilst smugly asserting "Science! Science!" like a crazed AFLAC duck.
I've been planning for some time to address that gap between what they THINK is true, versus what RESEARCH will show to be true. I've decided to resurrect an old category, Conservative Self-Education. I've been re-reading some old books - Witness, Steyn's America books, several books on the McCarthy Era in light of the Venona revelations - and have decided to put some short excerpts here, along with links to the original sources. I'll be doing this on a time-available basis, so don't expect any regular updates.
