All of these are Alinsky Tactics:
1. "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."
Sure, you and I aren't afraid of these union members individually, but together, they can intimidate by their supposed voting power (and their fellow members eagerness to break heads of dissenters).
2. "Never go outside the expertise of your people.
In his case, it's just about everything.

For example, the threat to hold one's breath until he turns blue.
