It appears that the evidence against tomatoes may be flawed:
I've long wondered about the direct cause & effect relationship. I suspect that the culprit may, in fact, be the food preparers - who fail to wash their hands.
Too many people rely on hand sanitizers, and use them as a replacement for washing, rather than a supplement to it.
