“to build a lasting memorial on the Arizona State Capitol Mall to the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The family, friends and fellow citizens we lost on September 11 should never be forgotten, and this memorial will help ensure that generations from now, Arizonans will continue to honor their memory.”Someone must have lost the order, and substituted their own agenda, because what they ended up with was this:
Additionally the letter said, “We must always remember the lives that we lost on that terrible day, as well as the strength and compassion that all Americans showed soon afterward.”
"Fear of Foreigners" Balbir Singh Sodhi, A Sike, murdered in Mesa"among other catchy leftist phrases.
"Foreign-Born Americans Afraid"
"Must Bomb Back"
"You don't win battles of terrorism with more battles"
I hadn't thought of the issue of how the events will be remembered, but I think we must begin to think about the future.
How do we know about the events of the past? We've seen the landscape dotted with statues and markers, proclaiming the lofty motives and heroic actions of soldiers, sailors, marines, and just plain citizens. We've read the literature, sung the songs, and read the inscriptions.
Is this how we want our watershed event of this century to be remembered by our grandchildren and beyond? We need to take control of these commissions and committees, to prevent the appeasers from taking over our future memories.
Whoops! Almost forgot to credit DeMediacratic Nation for the information.

It's weird, when you're younger you learn of history and current events. As life goes on you hear that this or that fact isn't true.
Here we are and we get to witness this, and so many other instances of re-writes - it's bizarre.
Thanks for picking up the post. Everyone is going ape over this due to Espresso Pundit breaking this and I posted with images and all a week earlier. Such is life in the blogosphere.
